I like to go to...

If I could go anywhere.. I´d like to go to the Antarctica..and now, you`re wondering "why Simonkey wants to go to this piece of ice, rock, and penguin poop?" and the answer is very easy and simple (1313); The Antarctic is the most isolates, unexplored and interesting (for their natural history) and obviously the continent of more difficult access, all a challenge to reach.
Until now, I know tha the weather is`nt a charm, especially on winter, with temperatures down to -60ºC and has the lowest annual precipitation rates (and as a curiosity the Antarctica contains the 80% of fresh water)
Being there, I would show the Aurora Australis, know the penguins, leopard seals, fosils of extinted tropical species (plants and animals) and admire the glaciars :º
Being in the antarctic could be a great opportunity to make a emvironmental research, so worth to withstand the shocks and dificults, to see things that very few have seen ü.

Insects of Chile

Hi everybody! For this week, the work for english class is to talk about a website related to my carrer... "Insectos de Chile" (this). This website is about bugs, beetles, butterflies, flies, etc, any way: insects fron Chile (and a little about  foreign bugs). And it also has information about techniques and instrucions on how to catch, preserve and classify insects (especially beetles).
This site has 13 sections, but only these are useful or updated; "¿Que son los insectos?", "Entomologia", "Colecta y concervación", "Galeria", "Foro" and "Web`s amigas". The most useful section is of course the forum, where the users ask and respond about identifications, bibliographies and tips about of course bugs. Another section that is very useful (for amateurs entomologysts) is the Gallery, where I can identify part of my collection.
I like to visit this site almost every day, because it has very useful information to classify my beetle collection.
And that is all, thanks for visiting my blog and reading this post ;)
See you   next week
